Minutes of the HOA meeting
June 5, 2017
Present: Sue Harvey, Maureen Walsh, Sharon Cook, Karen Purvis, Carol Sorensen,
Don Kelley, Bob Cook.
The meeting was called to order by President, Sharon Cook, at 7:05pm.
1. Secretary’s Report: Secretary, Sue Harvey, reported she had not typed up the
minutes of the last meeting, but she would submit them to the board the next day with
the draft of the June 5 minutes.
2. Treasurer’s report: Maureen Walsh, Treasurer, reported that as of May 17, expenses
included landscape maintenance and the Corp biling fee to the Secretary of State.
Income was received from several homeowners for dues.
3. Maureen reported on her talk with the owner of Blue Sky Landscaping, regarding the
new landscaping to be done in the front common area. He said he has not ordered
the picnic tables yet, but will do it soon. The board members looked at the diagram he
submitted for the restructuring of the landscape around the picnic tables and
approved it.
4. Sharon led a discussion of our on-going problem getting any other homeowners to
take part in the management of the development. No one wants to serve and the
current board members are burned out. Several possible soluti ons were
suggested,including turning the management of the development over to a
management service. We would still need board members, but the
management company would take over making sure homeowners kept up
their property in accordance with the CC&R’s, and would collect dues and levy
whatever fines were called for. Homeowner’s dues would go way up and would
probably be increased by 10% every year. After a lengthy discussion, it was decided
to send a letter to all homeowners and explain that we can either hand over the
management to a management company or homeowners need to step up and help
with the management, or we can increase the dues ourselves and hire more of
the work done for us. Sharon will draft a letter to be sent to all homeowners listing
these options, including the raising of dues.
5. The next board meeting will be held Monday, Sept. 25th, 2017 at Sue Harvey’s home.

Annual HOA Meeting
May 2, 1917
Present: Karen Purvis, Sharon Cook, Sue Harvey, Maureen Walsh, Bob Cook, Carol
Sorensen, and ____________, and _____ proxies, so we had our 19 member quorem.
The meeting was called to order at 7:21 pm by Sharon Cook, President.
1. Roll call and introduction of the board.
2. Three ballots were submitted as possible new board members. All three contained
the names of people already serving on the board.
3. Treasurer’s report: Maureen Walsh, treasurer, passed around the Annual Budget.
Maureen and Sharon explained annual expenses and the reserve account to the
assembled HOA members.
4. Secretary’s report: The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted and
reviewed by board members.
5. Vice President, Karen Purvis, described the various committees and encouraged
those present to sign up for a committee.
6. It was announced that the annual HOA garage sale was to be held May 13, 2017.
7. Outstanding issues were identified as parking in the development, and yard
maintenance.
8. A vote was held to establish the new members of the board. The following were
elected :
President: Sharon Cook
Vice President: Karen Purvis
Treasurer: Maureen Walsh
Secretary: Sue Harvey
Design & Development and Grounds: Bob Cook
Member-at-Large: Carol Sorensen
The meeting was adjourned by President, Sharon Cook, at 8:02 pm.
